Throne Spanker – English walnut and silver

Designed to be

the most beautiful spanking paddle you can buy.
We borrowed curves from some ancient Persian artifacts and we carve them into English walnut that we select for intriguing and dynamic grain patterns. We don’t use oil or varnish. The walnut is sanded to an outrageously fine surface and power-polished with a tough, glass-clear wax like jewellery. The difference is electrifying. The winged inlay is our own design, and it’s investment-cast in solid 925 silver. The spanker is 10 mm thick, and 295 mm long, supplied in a presentation case. Wood is a natural product and every Throne Spanker is different. The spanker we chose for the picture above has a rather modest grain pattern compared to typical Thrones so that the spanker you receive will exceed your expectations.

Bespoke chainmail

The Tanith choker is made to measure. Much more than that, it is designed in collaboration with the client to make the eloquent and uncompromising statement that she wishes to make. The chainmail links are 925 silver, and detail links can be made in gold or other metals as suited to the final design. We can make the feature cameo to interpret the client’s ideas, or we can adapt a vintage locket or cameo. The choker shown was made for a haute-gothic fashion event with a gilded skull cameo motif.

Celtic chieftains and the odd Roman general used to wear torcs as statement neck-ornaments all the time, but these days they are pretty rare. Two thousand years ago they were made by twisting bundles of wires, and welding them to cast metal rings.
Smarter Than has re-interpreted the torc as modern jewellery, designed digitally, fitted for the customer from a 3D laser scan and manufactured atom-by-atom by our own era’s clever machinery.

The HyperTorc is suited to men and women with imposing physiques and big personalities who can carry it off. A male HyperTorc will contain about £600′s worth of silver. We expect a HyperTorc to take at least one month to fit and deliver.

Smarter Than Ltd is a Manchester-based design consultancy whose main business is prototyping and doctoring industrial design projects for clients.
